Randomly generated, fast paced platformer. Can you escape The Dungeon?Play Now
This one will be short as not much has transpired since the last one.
I have been tightening up my controls on the game and playing around with different ways to move the player and the percentages to do so. Here is the list of things I've done.
-Move based on accelerometer movement
-Tightened this up by creating 1 Vector object that takes all the force through the update and then applies it all at once at the end of the update instead of multiple individual updates the force applied to the object throughout the update. (Still smoothing out.)
-Cleaned up lots of unused variables.
-Created dynamic UI for starting new game
-Clamped player movement so he can't move out of the viewport.
-Clamped player speed and velocity as well.
-Created loss condition and platform deletion based on game progression
-Dont want players to be able to go back down the pipe once they start moving so platforms now dissapear and when you fall so far you lose.
-Added a Singleton music gameobject to the game to add ambient music throughout the experience.
- This will be cleaned up later as right now it only plays one sound and there is not sound effects.
-Also playing with moving the player through the rigidbody2d object with the accelerometer rather then translating manually, still smoothing that out as well.
