ok so all of the story is the description on the game's page but basically the mad scientist you are playing as in very inept and forgot to pay his electric bill, now he is being swarmed by the people he was trying to instill fear in. He must defend himself while waiting for his power to turn back on.

gameplay is short and sweet. the gun you have is unable to directly harm the swarm of people but it can stun/freeze them. in order to grow your score you must defeat the enemies by using the traps laid around the lair. each tran activation point is indicated by a monitor with a green/yellow/red light above it (green meaning ready, yellow in use, red charging). to activate a trap shoot it with the charge shot (left click) survive for three minutes and you win.

controls are WASD for movement, mouse for aiming, left click for charge shot, right click for short stun shot, hold right click for 3 seconds then release for freeze shot. freeze shot does the same thing as stun shot but has a larger affect radius and stun durration.

There is a glitch where if you get completely swarmed by enemies instead of dying you will be pushed through the floor and there are probably other glitches floating about as well so I as you keep in mind that everything you see in the current version of the game was done in rough 16 hours of actual work

Some feedback:

The narrative should be included in the actual game. A simple introductory screen of text would have sufficed.
The title screen is too dark. I can barely read what's on it.
There's no pause escape menu. I can only pause the game by having the window lose focus.
There's no tutorial text or explanation of gameplay mechanics; I have to basically guess what to do.
Right click seems to fire some attack, but the green "bullets" are very hard to make out, especially against the floor texture.
The enemies look too similar to the player character. They even look to be the same model. At least change the color of the main character so I can tell him apart.
Why separate the lives, time and score so much? Bring them closer together, and make them larger for better visibility.
I can fall off the plane at parts, and there's no way to restart.
Seems the only way for me to lose lives is if I'm hit by one of my traps! But shouldn't it be "health" instead of "lives"?

From the looks of it, the scope may have been too large for a game jam project D:

I'm sorry I tried the game and it seems way too buggy to even be playeable. I think when i die i fall through the floor and can't reset the game or anything so i have to close the game and start over. Cool concept though. ;)
