Ok, so I alrady published 2 commercial games, and so far... I have one purchase each, even though I have, llike, 44 views or more. I already do marketing on social media (Twitter announcements, Discord announcements, GDU, YouTube development livestreams, videos, teasers and trailers). I try my best to make as many people as possible to find out about my game. Is there anything that I can still do? Can I promote myself even more? Will I have to find a publisher? I'm still starting out, so please let me know if you have any help.

That sucks man. I'm not very experienced yet, so I can't offer too much help (I'm in the process of developing my first commercial game myself). What I can see is that, for some reason, people are missing all your posts, purely not interested, or you're not posting enough/saturating it with enough info to reach people.

First off, can you post links to your game(s) and accounts where you're marketing? That way we might be able to see what's going on.

Lastly, Tim posts a good amount of stuff on marketing, and I highly recommend watching each of these if you haven't already: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL34tw91iHmmrMXTYWH1meZ63_r83fA23F

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna watch those vids. I would also like to point out that my games are recieving quite a big amount of views, just not too many of them actually buying the game. For instance, I got 309 views on Polar and (so far) 76 views on 6DC. Perhaps the sites aren't too convincing? You tell me. You asked me for the links for the games, so here you are:

About Polar, the trailer has some problem. The gameplay runs poorly? Did you try to give a certain style to your trailer? I give you my impression as if I was somebody looking for a game, and I can't buy Polar if it looks like the game is running with very low framerate. Maybe redo another trailer with smooth gameplay?

And for The 6-digit computer, it looks like an interesting concept. But the UI looks too austere for me, and I don't understand how the puzzle is working at the beginning.

But they does not looks like bad games, they looks interesting.

For both games, what are the arguments that you are trying to make to convince people to buy your game instead of other indie games?

I know that the tralier of Polar is of bad framerate, but that's because of my computer. When I don't record it, it runs super smooth 60 fps. However, I got a new computer so I could remake it.

You're right about the arguments. I will make a special section on the page on which I could list the features. I dunno why I haven't thought of that before.

Thanks for your help! :)

Edit: 1 day later, another person bought our game!

Hi NNNIKKI!

So I mean no offense when I say this; but I think one reason that people aren't buying them is because the art looks a little unprofessional.

True, true. I made it myself, and I'm not really an artist. But I wouldn't really hire an artist mainly because I know best how everything is supposed to look like. Maybe I should do it?

There's nothing wrong with making your own art. Graphics don't really matter that much to me; but they do more to some people.

I'm no expert, but I would recommend learning more about art or hiring someone. You can tell them what you want; but it may not turn out exactly like you hoped.

I'm working with a friend of mine on my game and he is doing the art. Basically, I tell him what I need and he does a sketch of it and if it doesn't turn out to be what we need I tell him what needs to be changed and he re does the sketch.

Like I said, I'm no expert but I think that may help.

Yeah, I also recently met a nice artist who goes by the name Beowulf. I think that after a bit of learning he could continue to do the art for our games. With some games though, like the 6-digit computer, I decided it would be best if I made it myself because I had a strict vision on the game. If I had known him earlier though, he could've made the art for Polar, since it wasn't really restricted.

PS Did you want to paste in emojis with Emojipedia or something like that? Because it didn't work.

Thanks to everyone for helping me out!
