Hey guys, in Tim's latest video.

Edit: Somehow part of my post was deleted. Here is the question I ask after watching the video: Does it make sense to make a vertical slice for games that have little to no narrative or levels and are mostly systems and PCG based? Ex.: Civilization, SimCity, Stellaris, Total War games etc. And if it doesn't make sense, what other ways are there to reduce risk?

i think it still make sense.

so what are the risk?

the biggest risk for us as developers is create something nobody want.

vertical slice is a good way to test our games before invest heavily in development.
